A peptide COA can look deceptively simple. One line says purity. Another line may list identity by mass spectrometry. A batch number, molecular weight, vial size, and sometimes water content, counterion, or assay data appear nearby. For a quick buyer review, the largest percentage on the page often gets the most attention.
That is understandable, but it is incomplete. HPLC purity and net peptide content answer different questions. HPLC purity usually describes the peptide-related chromatographic profile under a defined method. Net peptide content asks how much of the total weighed material is actual peptide material once non-peptide contributors are considered.
